Hello Neighbors!
Join the City of Reno, HERO Environmental Services, Redwood Materials, and community volunteers for the Biggest Little Spring Community Cleanup in your neighborhood! These events are free to residents. Please review the dates and items acceptable at each location below.
Only residential waste accepted. Residents will be turned away once bins are full.
Important! Not all Spring 2025 Community Cleanups will offer hazardous and electronic waste disposal. Please see the list below for information on haz and e-waste disposal.
- 04/12/25 at Damonte Ranch High School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Entrance on Rio Wrangler Pkwy.) Will accept haz and e-waste disposal.

04/26/25 at O’Brien Middle School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Entrance on Silver Lake Rd. Will not accept hazardous or electronic waste disposal at O’Brien Middle School.

05/03/25 at Reno High School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Entrance on Foster Dr.) Will accept haz and e-waste disposal.

05/17/25 at McQueen High School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Entrance on Lancer St.) Will accept haz and e-waste disposal.

06/07/25 at Bernice Mathews Elementary School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Entrance on Elementary Dr.) Will accept haz and e-waste disposal.

06/14/25 at Mira Loma Park from from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Entrance on Mira Loma Dr.) Will accept haz and e-waste disposal.
Residential waste items accepted during community cleanups

Household hazardous waste (including paint or oil) | 3 ft by 3 ft (no more than one truck bed) |
Bicycles | Six (6) per household |

Tires | Six (6) per household |
Items not accepted during community cleanups
- Mercury (Thermostats and some medical equipment)
- Asbestos/asbestos related items
- Radioactive smoke detectors
- Prescription drugs (CVS Pharmacy offers prescription drug disposal.)
